In practice, the principles of treatment of Ayurveda is generally very difficult for the westerners, Asians other than Indians and even to some within the country or due to its complexity. The complexity is resulted by the blending of culture, medicine, tradition and belief that led to its origin and development basically of India as it is the home country and society. Thus the principles are to be known only when the complexity is truly understood and experienced. Now the question is whether it is difficult for the Ayurvedists to explain to others? The answer is "NO". This is because, the science is true in any region, place, country or environment, etc. Hence when any part of the science is to be explained, the teacher or person who explains should take into account the local region and study its various dimensions such that the blending will be quite apt and proportionate so as to make them understand the core ideals and principles.
In practice, the same complexity has resulted in the projection of Ayurvedic practice and treatments as mere oil massaging spas relaxation centers and other business oriented establishments where expertise in the field is seldom to be seen. But it surely acts as a place where the people take the cream benefit and relish it. This has resulted in shunted growth internationally along with bans and negative approach towards the science to some extent. The same has also led to aversion towards certain class of drugs which are main for the science to show its medical authenticity and action like the "Alchemic preparations", Herbo-mineral preparations", etc.
This approach should be checked and not allowed to grow as it will only lead to a situation of Ayurveda like a bird which is told to fly after clipping its wings. Hence, it is better to Understand, Learn and Live Ayurveda such that it is practiced genuinely after being learnt and understood completely by not only some but by the whole mankind to have a healthy world............... www.cfeia.com
